          1Introduction


          Pursuant to the new education solutions proposed by Ministry of Education and Industry 4.0 Standard Design, portable & developable flexible system is developed by my company, which is a kind of educational industrial product featured by five characteristics, including portability, flexible assembly, high scalability, closeness to industry and intelligent control.

          High expansibility: the system has a lot of units which are getting together compactly and tightly. The units are able to be independently used or be connected to each other via connection components to be flexible systems.

          Portability: each unit of the system is in an independent box-type structure. That is all the components of the unit are put into the cavities in the box, which are isolated from each other by anti-collision materials so that the elements and components can be well protected.

          Closeness to industry: All components and parts in the system are the ones which are actually applied in the industry, including industrial aluminum, pneumatic component, electrical component and structural component. Therefore, assembly and equipment at an industrial level can be provided.

          Intelligent control: the control system is PLC which is rather advanced and high-tech. The brand of PLC is the one which is quite popular in the world, such as Siemens and Mitsubishi etc.

          Assembly: the system has a discrete design, by which the user can adjust its installation location and develop procedures based on its own demands.

          The innovation achieved by the flexible & developable flexible system make a seamless docking between study and application, by which what is learned can be put into use. By this system, students’ skills and abilities in intelligent control, equipment installation, equipment debugging and equipment maintenance can be cultivated. Being as an automatic training product in mechatronics, it will become a powerful and useful tool for mechatronics teaching or training.

          4Training Procedure of Feeding Unit

          1. Assembly of Feeding Unit

          According to the assembly drawing, all the components and parts of the feeding unit shall be assembled, whose positions shall be adjusted properly after being assembled.

          2. Structural components shall be adjusted.

          3. Operation status of the gas cylinder shall be adjusted.

          1) Connect the air source to the air supply station and adjust the air supply pressure.

          2) After confirming that there is no leakage on the solenoid valve, start the solenoid valve manually and adjust the air-in valve and air-out valve to make the air cylinder operate stably.

          4. Power Supply Test

          1) Test the power system with a multimeter to check that whether the circuit joints are fixed and tight.

          5. Adjust position of the sensor

          1) Power on to adjust the position of the sensor in order to get test best.

          6. Program debugging on feeding unit

          1) The user can write a program on its own for the feeding operation (a program for user’s reference will be provided). The program can be diversified.

          2) According to the user’s program, adjust gradually.

          3) After being adjusted, circulating test can be carried out.

          7. Disassemble

          After there is no other training on the unit, the unit can be disassembled. The parts disassembled shall be kept in the box.

          8. Training

          1) PLC training

          By writing a program to simulate the scenario. For example, interlock control on output, counting and sequence control etc.

          2) Training on units

          (1) Disassemble and assemble the feeding unit.

          (2) Debug pneumatic components in feeding unit

          (3) Training on programs in feeding unit

          (4) Training on automatic feeding

          (5) Training on material transportation

          (6) Training on sensor application

          3) Linkage of portable & developable flexible system

          The flexible system has several units, which can be selected by the user for its training. There are connectors in the unit, which make the units can be perfectly combined. The linkage system can provide different kinds of training, by which the user can greatly use its creative skills.

          5Training on Robot Unit

              1. Assembly of Robot Unit

          According to the assembly drawing, all the components and parts of the robot unit shall be assembled, whose positions shall be adjusted properly after being assembled.

          2. Structural components shall be adjusted.

          3. Power supply test

          1) Test the power system with a multimeter to check that whether the circuit joints are fixed and tight.

          4. Operation status of the gas cylinder shall be adjusted.

          1) Connect the air source to the robot unit and adjust the air supply pressure.

          3) Manually adjust the air-in and air-out valve to get the gas cylinder at the regulated speed.

          4) Manually adjust the air-in and air-out valve of the pneumatic finger to make sure that the pneumatic finger can smoothly grasp and loosen.

          1) The user can write a program on its own for the robot operation (a program for user’s reference will be provided). The program can be diversified.

          2) According to the user’s program, adjust gradually.

          3) After being adjusted, circulating test can be carried out.

          6. Disassemble

          After there is no other training on the unit, the unit can be disassembled. The parts disassembled shall be kept in the box.

          7. Linkage of portable & developable flexible system

          1) Test the power system with a multimeter to check that whether the circuit joints are fixed and tight.
